2020 Registration is now open!

Swim team 2020 is happening! While it may look different than other seasons, we will definitely be building skills, having fun, and staying active for the month of July.  Please click on the link below to register your swimmer(s).

merrimacswim.swimtopia.com

If you have an existing login for Swimtopia, be sure to login so your information will populate from last year.  This will save you time when you register.  If you are new to the team, you will need to create a new login.

  • Due to the changes this season, the registration cost has been lowered to $75 per swimmer.  The first three swimmers from each family will pay the same price. If a family has more than three swimmers, the fourth, fifth, etc. will be free.
  • We will not have a team swimsuit this season. If you need a practice suit, goggles, caps, or swim equipment, be sure to shop at our team store at www.swimoutlet.com/merrimactidalwaves. A percentage of sales go right back to our team!
  • Our practice schedule will be Monday-Thursday, beginning on June 29th. We will also be adding FUN FRIDAYS on 7/10 and 7/17! Practice times will be determined once we have our final number of registered swimmers.
  • All meets will be virtual during practice time.
  • Due to all meets being virtual, there will not be a volunteer requirement for parents this season.

Covid-19 Safety

We have received guidance from multiple sources, including USA Swimming and the CDC.  The following guidelines will be in place for the 2020 season.

Swimmers must submit to a no-touch infrared temperature check at the start of each practice. Any swimmer with a temperature of 100.4 or above will not be permitted to practice that day.

  • A coach will ask swimmers, as they come into practice, if they feel ill in any way, specifically listing certain symptoms, and send home those swimmers reporting feeling ill or experiencing symptoms. Symptoms include mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough and difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by the CDC.

Swimmers must maintain social distancing:

  • Follow directions for spacing and stay at least six feet apart from others.
  • Do not make physical contact with others
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Avoid sharing food, drinks, or towels.
  • Maintain appropriate social distancing from other athletes when taking a break.

We look forward swimming with you this summer!
